The Components...
- The three main components are the base, (either Transparent or Opaque White, the concentrated Transparent Pigments and the Resfix fixative.
Small amounts of pigment are added to the transparent base to make the printing or painting medium. 1 tsp. (5 ml) of most pigments in a cup of transparent base yields full strength color (a 3-8% solution). The Opaque White Ink/Base is used to print white or it may have pigment added to tint it. All pigments may be intermixed to make new colours. If the fabric is to be washed or dry cleaned, add Resfix fixative, use 1 tsp. (5 ml) per 500 ml of color mixture (a 1% solution). Colours mixed with Resfix may congeal after 24 hours....mix for current use.

|
Fixation...
Prime Setting is at 150ºC for 3 minutes Alternatively, let the fabric dry then iron thoroughly, dry iron, cotton setting. Iron on the pigment side, cover the pigment with a piece of tissue to protect
the iron.

About the Components...
- The Transparent Base is the correct consistency for silk-screening or printing on most light coloured fabrics.
Use the Opaque White Ink/Base to to block the underneath colour on dark fabrics. Thin with water for hand painting or air brushing. If bleeding occurs when printing on synthetic fabrics thicken with Anti-bleed added drop by drop...a little goes a long way. Softener is added to print on soft flexible items such as terry cloth. To slow down the drying of ink in a silkscreen and prevent clogging use Ink Retarder in a 3-5% solution. See Opulence Pigment Instructions for more detail.
