Opulence Water Based Resists
About Our Resist....
These are a customer favourite. They hold a nice sharp line—are nontoxic and stink-free. They may be thinned with water or coloured with any of the steam fixed dyes, mix
the resist a couple of shades deeper than the desired final colour. The resist washes out, the colour stays in. This resist hates hot weather and dies if frozen, we find
it behaves itself for six months to a year. Let the resist dry completely before dye application...but don't dry applied resist in the sun or grab a blow dryer to hurry
things up. 70 ml sizes come in a transfer bottle, purchase one separately for larger sizes. Nip off the end of the plastic nozzle to increase the opening.
Opulence Regular Resist...
Use as is for transparent lines (same colour as the fabric) or add dye to make coloured resist lines. Use a maximum of 1 part dye to 3 parts resist, stir well. Mix only the
quantity required for current use. Let the resist dry between colour changes to avoid lines from bleeding at joins. This resist is suitable for light to medium weight
fabrics, may be thinned with water to penetrate heavier fabrics.
Opulence Penetrating Resist...
Formulated to penetrate heavy fabrics (16 to 19 mm). Works well on some cottons, test first. We like to let this resist dry overnight. May be used for silk-screening. May
not have dye added for coloured lines.
Opulence Resist For Colour...
- This is really thick stuff, made to colour with dye for very dark or bright lines. Add dye until it's thin enough to flow. Stir very well. Mix only the quantity required
for current use. Store this resist in the fridge. Mix with Opulence Dye #OP999 Black Velvet for the blackest resist lines.
