Opulence Dye Binder...
Great for all printing and controlled painting. This is a neutral plant thickening jell to use with steam fixed dyes. It holds the dye in place for steaming, then washes away. A little goes a long
way—don't try to paint with jelly! Make like a white sauce—add small amounts of dye to the binder and stir well. Reduce to a creamy consistency for hand painting. May also be used as an
anti-diffuser: reduce with water and brush onto fabric. Leave to dry before painting. Note—The binder reacts with Opulence Dye #OP120 or #P605 and is hard to remove.

A cellulose thickening powder made from trees. Add a pinch to a small amount of dye. Stir well and leave for about 30 minutes to dissolve into a smooth mixture.

Sodium Alginate...
Sodium Alginate is a neutral powder thickening agent derived from seaweed and used in hand painting and silk screening for hard edge designs. To prepare, mix about 5 Tbs. per
liter of water, blend well and leave overnight to absorb and smooth out. Add dye and stir well. Use a thicker mixture for printing, a thinner mixture for painting. Store in the fridge and throw it
away when it thins or grows stuff.

Advanced Marbling Base...
Impatient? This size is ready to use in 45 minutes instead of the usual overnight wait. It also doesn't mold when stored at room temperature. You will need 25 grams of marbling base powder per gallon of
size and (5 ml) 1 tsp. of plain ammonia NOT sudsy ammonia and our
mixing instructions which must be followed exactly. It is important that no more than two gallons are mixed in a batch.
