Stripping Colour With Thiourea Dioxide Instructions

General Information...

Thiourea Dioxide is used to remove colour from natural fibers that have been dyed with Procion MX or Procion H dyes. Results are best if used with simmering water, but Thiourea Dioxide is an excellent colour reducer when used with hot tap water. It may also be added to print pastes for discharge dyeing.

Safety...

Wear an approved vapour/fume respirator, rubber gloves and safety goggles while handling powder and liquid. Never use in combination with bleach or detergents containing chlorine bleach as toxic fumes may be produced. Do not use in or with cast iron, aluminum, or copper pots or utensils.
