Step 1...
Step 2...
Put on the dust mask. Put one 25 gr. package of dye into a Pyrex cup, add a little lukewarm water and stir to make a paste. Add more lukewarm water and stir until
completely dissolved. Reserve. Put two gallons or lukewarm water into an appropriately sized plastic bucket. Add 1 cup of salt and stir well.
Add the dye to the bucket when the shirts are ready to go in.
Step 3...
Wet the shirts then remove the excess water. Add the dye to the bucket and stir well. Dissolve 3 Tbs. of Sodium Carbonate in a cup of hot water, add to bucket and stir well.
Immediately put the shirts into the dye bath.
Step 4...
Leave the shirts in the dye bath (stir occasionally) for a minimum of 30-45 minutes (1—1½ hours is better).
Step 5...
Rinse well in cool water, then untie them. They may be tied again for a second dyeing. When the dyeing is finished, rinse well in cool running water and then
wash with Lissapol or TNA Detergent and hot water. Rinse in cool water. Rinsing and washing may be done in the machine. The shirts should be washed and rinsed until the water is clear.
